Home Description
Serenity Village is a compassion home that serves families who are losing a loved one. While we are not a hospice home and do not have medical doctors on staff, we do require that admitted patients be under the care of a licensed hospice agency. Hospice is combined medical, nursing and spiritual support developed for end of life care for the terminally ill. Dedicated hospice teams provide hospice care for patients in their homes. Unfortunately, some hospice patients can no longer be cared for in their own homes, which may be because of complexity of care, caregiver burnout or inadequate family support. Serenity Village provides an alternative, homelike environment for dying patients where they can continue to be cared for by their family, but also have assistance from our staff to give the family needed rest and support.
